Learn Islamic Studies

This course covers the areas of Islamic knowledge that sit outside Quran reading and Arabic language study specifically: the foundations of the faith, practical fiqh, aqidah, and the life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), taught through one-on-one sessions rather than a fixed set of recorded lectures.

What’s Covered

Topics include the pillars of Islam and what each one requires in practice, basic fiqh around worship and daily life, aqidah (core beliefs), an introduction to tafsir (Quran interpretation) and hadith, everyday Islamic etiquette, and the Seerah, the biography and history of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Your teacher adjusts which topics get more time based on your interests and what you already know, rather than working through a rigid syllabus regardless of relevance.

Structured for Different Ages

Sessions are paced differently for children and adults. For children, lessons tend to be shorter and more example-driven, focused on building a foundation they’ll keep building on as they grow. For adults, sessions can go deeper into specific topics, especially for students who already have some background and want to study particular areas in more depth.

Many students combine this course with Quran reading or memorization classes, since Islamic studies naturally overlaps with both, though it also works as a standalone course for anyone who specifically wants to study fiqh, aqidah, and Seerah.

Getting Started

Your first session is typically used to understand what you already know and what you’re hoping to focus on, so your teacher can plan sessions around that rather than starting from a generic introduction. A free trial lesson is available if you’d like to see how a session runs before enrolling.
